REAP is a group of active retired professional people whose purpose is the pursuit of knowledge. It was founded in 1970 as a program of the Cheltenham Pennsylvania Township Adult School and has been a not-for-profit unincorporated association since 2007.
REAP provides the opportunity to research and present a talk on a subject we are unfamiliar with, providing new learning. Each member commits to present a 75-minute talk every 18 to 24 months. We challenge ourselves to study topics that are both interesting and educational.
REAP offers opportunities for pleasant interaction with a diverse group of warm and welcoming people. Our members reside in Philadelphia and its suburbs.
If you are a retiree who would enjoy the continued pursuit of knowledge, REAP invites you to apply for membership. You will be treated to interesting and well-researched presentations on a variety of topics from colleagues who share similar interests. An application form can be found on the APPLY page of this website. For additional information or to be contacted by someone directly, email your request to: email@example.com.
Our mission is to promote the continuing education of our members through the exploration of new areas of study. Each member investigates a topic that culminates in the delivery of a presentation before the membership.
We challenge our members to thoroughly explore a topic and then every 18 to 24 months present a 75- minute talk based on that topic to our members.
REAP meets most Wednesdays from 10:00 am to noon from September through May at the:
Ukrainian Educational and Cultural Center, (UECC)
700 North Cedar Road
Jenkintown, PA 19046
